The indicator LEDs should pulse blue and it will begin looking for devices to connect to.<\/p>\n<p>You can also use the Amazon Alexa app on your smartphone. Open the App, tap \u201cDevices\u201d on the bottom navigation bar, then \u201cEcho and Alexa\u201d on the next screen. Turn Bluetooth on using the toggle if it isn\u2019t already, then scroll down to \u201cOther Devices\u201d. Tap on your Echo device when it appears.<\/p>\n<p>On Android, open the Settings app, then tap Connections, then Bluetooth. Toggle Bluetooth on if it isn\u2019t already, and then tap \u201cpair new device\u201d or \u201cscan for devices\u201d. This process differs slightly between manufacturers. You can ask Alexa to play, pause, stop, skip forward and backward, and adjust the volume, without having to reach for your device.<\/p>\n<p>Now you can use a voice command (eg \u201cAlexa, connect to my phone\u201d) and your Echo will automatically reconnect to your device. Saying \u201cAlexa, disconnect from my phone\u201d will disable the connection again. Just make sure to use the name of the device as it appears in the Amazon Alexa app, under \u201cBluetooth connections\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"schema-how-to-step\" id=\"how-to-step-1647440319450\">\n<div class=\"steps\">\n<h3 class=\"step-name\">Step  4.<\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"schema-how-to-step-name\">Connecting to other speakers<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"schema-how-to-step-text\">The pairing process is largely the same for connecting other devices, for example a set of Bluetooth headphones, or a better-sounding audio system.
