Instagram and Spotify have cooked up a neat new integration that makes it easy to save songs used in Instagram posts to your Spotify library.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The new tool, which is currently rolling out to users around the world, is handy when you hear a track from a Story or Reel you\u2019d like to hear more of, or listen to again.<\/p>\n

With users regularly adding soundtracks to their posts, Instagram has become somewhat of a music discovery tool in itself, and now the two apps are making it easier to save that earworm for later listening.<\/p>\n

The integration is really simple, but here\u2019s how its done.<\/p>\n

What you\u2019ll need<\/h2>\n

  • An Instagram account<\/li>\n
  • Instagram app for iOS or Android<\/li>\n
  • A Spotify account<\/li>\n
  • Spotify app for iOS or Android<\/li>\n
  • An iOS or Android smartphone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The Short Version<\/h2>\n

    • Find Instagram post with soundtrack<\/li>\n
    • Tap the song title beneath the username<\/li>\n
    • Tap the Spotify button<\/li>\n
    • Link Spotify to Instagram<\/li>\n
    • Agree to Open Spotify<\/li>\n
    • Allow Spotify to connect with Instagram<\/li>\n
    • Return to Instagram with song added to Liked Songs playlist<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        In a Story, tap the song title beneath the username<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

        For a Reel, the song appears at the bottom left of the page below the caption.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Tap the Spotify button<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n
